Small footprint, advanced electric driveline
Toro® LH518iB loader has a large payload capacity for its size, fitting in a 4.5 x 4.5 meter tunnel while carrying 18 ton loads.
For optimal performance, it uses the most powerful electric motors available for underground use. Together with the advanced electric driveline and the Artisan® battery pack, the loader delivers high acceleration, fast ramp speeds and short cycle times. -
Patented AutoSwap and AutoConnect
The loader doesn’t require any large-scale appliances such as overhead cranes for swapping the battery at a mine site. This is thanks to the AutoSwap, Sandvik patented self-swapping system for the battery. Due to our AutoConnect functionality, the operator can stay in the cabin during the swapping process.
For charging after swapping, the battery needs to be connected to a Sandvik charging station. -
Zero underground emissions
Fully battery-powered, the Toro® LH518iB loader produces no underground exhaust emissions and significantly less heat than traditional diesel engines, supporting a mining operation in reducing their CO2 emissions.
A fleet of battery-powered machines also helps reduce ventilation requirements deep underground, further reducing energy consumption and costs. -
Automation ready
Toro® LH518iB loader has been optimized for use with AutoMine®, our robust mining automation system for increased customer safety, productivity and lower costs. AutoMine® on Toro® LH518iB loader enables seamless remote battery swapping with operator assistance, maximizing machine utilization and boosting productivity in underground mining operations.
Delivering powerful and responsive performance with high bucket fill factors, the system enhances operational efficiency while prioritizing operator safety and comfort.
These machines have always been outperformers of other manufacturers in terms of speed, tramming speed, hydraulic power, breakout power, and this one (Toro® LH518iB) feel so much more stable from the rear aspect because it is full of battery pack. There’s a lot more stability. Very impressive.
