The increased speed can save you up to one hour per day for each rig, which translates into cost savings of more than 100,000 dollars per year. Drilling faster reduces machine related costs, such as for operators and maintenance, per meter advanced.
Ensuring speedy development
The Speedy bit, which also features one of our groundbreaking PowerCarbide® grades, is available in four dimensions (43, 45, 48 and 51mm). It has already proved its performance in the field during more than 20 trials in both mine development and tunneling. On average, the drill speed increased by 9% compared to bits with ballistic buttons, including several regrinds.
