Sandvik will have its latest innovations on display at MINExpo INTERNATIONAL® 2024 in Las Vegas, September 24-26, including its new Toro™ diesel-electric truck demonstrator and latest battery-electric concept surface drill rig.
Sandvik’s 21,000-square-foot (1,950-square-meter) exhibit at Central Hall 3, booth #7415 will demonstrate its vision for the “future of mining,” a theme that emphasizes its focus on the technologies and solutions that will help customers mine more sustainably without compromising productivity or efficiency.

Rotary drilling
The Sandvik DR411i blast hole drill offers exceptional productivity in both rotary and down-the-hole hammer drilling. This powerful yet compact drill provides precise and clean blast holes with high accuracy, thanks to its traveling centralizer on an extended mast.
Equipped with DRi technology based on the SICA (Sandvik Intelligent Control System Architecture) platform, the DR411i features iDrill performance, iDrill Navigation, and is AutoMine® ready for full autonomous operation. Additionally, My Sandvik Digital solutions are available to deliver fleet telematics data for productivity monitoring and integration into mining systems and processes.

Loading and hauling
Toro™ diesel-electric truck is the latest innovation from Sandvik Load and Haul. Building off the internationally popular Toro™ TH663i truck, this version features a diesel engine with an electric driveline and motors. The diesel engine powers a generator, which provides electricity to the motor that operates the equipment.
This combination improves productivity with faster speeds, reduces maintenance and has lower operating costs. Diesel-electric equipment serves as a transition from traditional equipment to fully battery-powered equipment thanks to a modular design.
In MINExpo, the truck is equipped with a box made with near zero-emission SSAB Zero™ steel.
Rock tools
Sandvik brings a complete range of market-leading rock tools for surface and underground mining. Visitors at MINExpo are presented to our latest innovations of rock tools, like the new RH570 down-the hole hammer, our uniquely equipped push bore reamer system for slot hole drilling, the advantages of our Golden Shank, Sandvik Alpha® drilling tools and Curved Thread system for top hammer drilling, as well as our full family of long-lasting rotary bits.
