Sandvik in Latin America Construction 2011
Following on from the huge success of the 2010 Customer Days in Malaysia, China, North America and South Africa, Sandvik Mining and Construction recently hosted their first exclusive customer event of 2011. This time the event focused on Latin America, with a display of products and capabilities aimed at the specific needs of this dynamic market place.
"Sandvik in Latin America Construction 2011" took place on the 24th and 26th of May 2011, with a wide range of equipment being showcased that is of particular relevance for the region. The customer event was located in Sao Paolo, Brazil, with an excellent demonstration site located at the Serveng quarry near Barueri - close to São Paulo. Appropriate hospitality was also provided for customers, guests and media.
The customer event was planned on a grand scale to in order to reflect Sandvik's commitment to the Latin American market. Customers were in attendance from all corners of the world, but the main purpose of the event was specifically designed to address the needs of Sandvik's Latin American customers; who possess varying degrees of exposure to the Sandvik product lines. Thus, Sandvik in Latin America Construction 2011 presented the opportunity to demonstrate a wide range of equipment aimed at the Latin American market - in Action - including drilling, rock tools, breaking, crushing and screening solutions. The opportunity was also taken to showcase Sandvik's support systems, with a display of simulation technology, aftermarket offerings and capabilities.
Sandvik expressed a special thank you to Blás Bermúdez Cabrera,Mining Director, and to Quarry Manager Romualdo Farias, both from Pedreira Serveng Quarry. Both took great pride in hosting the machinery demonstration, as well as ensuring the full cooperation of all at the quarry. This ensured that the demonstrations, and customer hospitality at the quarry, were conducted in a smooth and efficient manner.
