Sandvik launches new range of exploration drill rigs
Sandvik is pleased to announce the launch of a new range of Exploration drills specifically aimed at mid-markets not requiring the premium range of Sandvik's hi-tech Exploration drilling rigs. These rigs, marketed under the well known UDR brand will not only offer solid performance but also competitive and cost-effective exploration solutions. The first UDR rigs are scheduled to be available for sale as of June, 2012.
"The new range of drills will provide Sandvik with new opportunities and exposure to customers previously out of reach in the supply of Exploration tools and geological products", says Cameron Westwood, Global Business Manager UDR Exploration Products.
The drills will be complemented by a wide range of tooling packages tailored to each drill model, thus opening up an exciting new market for Exploration's existing range of tooling. The UDR range of drills will be distributed via a Global Direct approach utilising sales and product support personnel located in key market areas. The product launch will begin with an offering of four Exploration core drills ranging in depth capacity from 400m to 2,300m in N size drilling, there are further plans afoot for a Multi Purpose Reverse Circulation/Core drill to be launched later in 2012.
The UDR range of Exploration drilling equipment brings Sandvik one step closer to fulfilling its global strategy of providing the complete range of equipment and services to all customers in the Mineral Exploration Industry.
