One crusher, two configurations - Sandvik’s New HSI impactors CI511 and CI512

The second generation of compact horizontal impact crushers from Sandvik provides low capital cost solutions, optimum performance and good cubical shape, whilst ensuring the lowest operating cost per ton, for a wide range of materials and applications. The all new patented and highly modularized Sandvik CI511/512 crusher combines the ability to configure one base crusher into either a Primary or a Secondary configuration. This makes it adaptable to your ever-changing requirements.

Sandvik CI511 HSI Impactor

Great reduction ratio
Sandvik new HSI crusher possesses a revolutionary chamber design resulting in greater reduction ratios. Indeed the crusher is able to produce products with two curtains (greater breakage), which competitors require three-curtain crushers to produce.

Energy-efficient overload protection
The CI511/512 is equipped with an infinite hydraulic curtain adjustment combined with a brake positioning system relieving pressure and setting when un-crushable objects enter the crusher. No hydraulic power is required during normal operation, thus saving on operating power and reducing total power consumption.

Easy and Safe maintenance
A unique key safety interlock system ensures safe maintenance of the crusher, especially in multiple installations. The ability to raise curtains during operation without stopping the crusher to clear blockages and re-set automatically to operating setting, maximizes uptime and reduces the need for heavy lifting gear and operator / maintenance intervention, thus reducing further Health & Safety risks. In addition, thanks to easy access and combined with the facility to reverse and lift vertically the hammers, the maintenance of rotor and hammers is facilitated and requires minimum space. The high mass open design rotor ensures stable power consumption and the ability to handle re-bar in recycling applications.

Maximum uptime, Maximum breakage
The modularized wear parts can be turned for maximum life/usage and the same size are used across the whole range of crushers. Furthermore, the design of the hammer ensures maximum breakage, even as hammers wear. In addition, the world leading technology in the hammer material composition provides options far surpassing old industry standard of manganese.
