Sandvik launches Sandlock – the lifting device for crusher wear parts
In order to more readily facilitate the changing of the mantle and concave found on its cone crushers, Sandvik Construction is pleased to announce the launch of a specialist lifting tool for changing these wear parts which can weigh anywhere between 732-1131 kg. The Sandlock lifting tool has thus been specifically designed with the requirements of customers of the new Sandvik CH550 cone crusher in mind, thereby making the task of changing the mantle and concave wear parts as simple, efficient, and as safe as possible.
Exchanging the wear parts of cone crushers can be difficult; the weight of the mantle and concave on the new Sandvik CH550 cone crushers ranges from 732-1131 kg. Traditionally, when replacing, or undertaking maintenance work, the mantle and concave have to be lifted out of the crusher unit by crane, with attachments points having to be welded on. This process is both time consuming, and if not carried out properly, even dangerous, leading to inefficiencies and loss of production through machine down time.
In order to make the changing of mantle and concave wear parts simpler, less time consuming, and more efficient, Sandvik Construction has developed a lifting device that can be used to exchange the cone crushers' wear parts. Designed specifically for the requirements of customers operating any of the new CH550 range of Sandvik cone crushers, whether stationary or mobile, the Sandlock lifting tool consists of a 2 piece specially designed tool, of a robust and easily transportable construction. The key attributes and benefits of Sandlock include:

Although the Sandlock lifting tool is currently only suitable for the new CH550 range of CH series cone crushers, similar variants are under development for the entire range of Sandvik CH series cone crushers, whether in a mobile or stationary operation.
