Sandvik Construction to participate in first Bauma Africa from 18th-21st September

Sandvik Construction is pleased to announce its support for the very first Bauma Africa exhibition, which is to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, in September this year. At this ground breaking trade show, with its African focus, Sandvik will be displaying a cross-section of it's acclaimed equipment ranges, launch exciting new products, as well as showing why our African customers' needs truly are our focus.

Sandvik Construction to participate in first Bauma Africa from 18th-21st September Bauma Africa presents Sandvik Construction with the perfect opportunity to meet with our African customers, introduce the Sandvik offering to companies and individuals lacking familiarity, and vitally presenting the perfect opportunity to launch new products. Bauma Africa will thus see the African launch of two exciting developments: the CH550 Cone crusher and the DH350 Surface Drill Rig.

The CH550 is part of the new generation of compact cone crushers which provide customers with optimum performance and good cubical shape, whilst ensuring the lowest operating cost per ton for a wide range of materials and applications. The all new patented Sandvik CH550 is based on the proven HYDROCONE TM design, with the CH550 combining the ability to produce excellent shaped products, in fewer crushing stages, thereby making it adaptable to ever-changing customer requirements.

The new Sandvik DH350 drill rig is a diesel powered, crawler mounted, self-contained down-the-hole drilling rig, that has been designed for drilling with 3", 4" and 5" hammers in the 89 – 152 mm (3 ½ - 6") hole range. Operational productivity, hole-accuracy and drilling smoothness, are further enhanced by a heavy duty rotary head that supplies a very high torque of 2530 Nm, with fuel costs being minimized with two separate power sources. Both these new products are seen to be perfect for the African market, and will be joined with representatives from the other Product Areas, including

  • Stationary crushing and screening equipment
  • Breakers
  • Tools & Consumables

Sandvik Construction to participate in first Bauma Africa from 18th-21st September Given the importance of the Bauma Africa exhibition to the African construction industry, Sandvik Construction has decided to introduce not only the very latest developments from the world leading product ranges, but also to emphasize commitment to customers and their specific business requirements. Satu Ramo, Global Marketing Communications Manager Sandvik Construction states: "The Sandvik Construction range of equipment is perfect for our African customers; the ranges enable them to process materials from virgin rock right through to demolition materials, which can then be recycled for continued use. This customer focused approach will see us (Sandvik Construction) unveil some new, and exciting, products and services specifically developed for our African customers thereby facilitating enhanced profitability, improved efficiency, and minimize environmental damage."

Sandvik hope that visitors to Bauma Africa in September will take the opportunity to acquaint themselves with what's new at Sandvik Construction during the show, meet the people behind the world leading product lines, and enjoy what will truly be a "must see" show. The impressive Sandvik stand will include interactive presentations and unprecedented access to key people within the Sandvik Construction organization.
