Sandvik Construction launches innovative spare parts

Keeping cone crushers running with as short and as few maintenance stops as possible is critical for Sandvik's customers, with the Mainshaft Sleeve, the Spider Bushing and the Step Components being important parts affecting cone crusher performance. Now, Sandvik has taken these parts to the next level.

The new Mainshaft Sleeve, for example, can be changed in less than 15 minutes: this being an 80% quicker change when compared to current Mainshaft Sleeves on the market. The benefits for users of cone crushers are easy to see; for a cone crusher running at a capacity of 250 tons per hour, this rapid change would mean being able to produce 310 tons during the 75 minutes production time gained. With the new design from Sandvik there is no heating or grinding required - the new simplified procedure only requires a torque wrench and a hand driven oil pump - which also makes the changing process safer.

With a specifically developed alloy the new Spider Bushing is designed to better resist abrasion. This means fewer changes and an increased lifespan by up to 100%.

The all-new Step Components are partly broken in during manufacturing enabling Cone Crushers to be broken in up to 80% faster, whilst new oil grooves have also been developed to improve lubrication, which reduces wear and friction considerably.

Of the development of the three brand new spare parts, Jesper Persson states: "Knowing our customers' challenges, and focusing on safety, we have developed spare parts that simplify the whole maintenance process and free up production time."

The new spare parts can be used for most of Sandvik's Cone Crushers, including: CH420, CH430, CH440, CH660 as well as CS420, CS430, CS440 and CS660.
