SMT and SANDVIK expand their collaboration

SMT Algeria is also a recognized distributor for Volvo Construction Equipment. It is a subsidiary of the SMT Group, which has its headquarters in Vilvoorde, Belgium and which is the distributor for Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Trucks & Volvo Penta in 22 countries across North, Central and Western Africa (as well as being the exclusive distributor for Volvo CE in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg). SMT has built a solid network in Africa and Europe based on its long-term commitment to customer service, which is the key to their success in the equipment and transportation of heavy industry.

After more than six months of successful collaboration, Sandvik is entrusting SMT with additional distribution responsibilities from 1 January 2017, extending to the equipment of surface drilling machines and underground drilling. SMT is thereby adding a further "string to its bow" in taking over from the previous distributor of these products, Bennes Marrel.

As a Sandvik Distributor, SMT will utilize and capitalize on its extensive know-how in sales and aftermarket. SMT's geographical coverage and 60 employees provide with the capacity to broaden their activities and meet the needs of our customers.

Sandvik's products complement the range already distributed by SMT and enable SMT to offer complete solutions to its customers in mines and quarries, ranging from discovery through to loading of the finished product.
