Features
-
High-power electric drive line
Toro® LH518iB battery loader is unrestrained by mine ventilation limitations and can use the most powerful electric motors available. The loader delivers 540 kW of electric drivetrain power for improved acceleration, fast ramp speeds and efficient bucket filling with 6000 Nm total torque output.
-
Patented AutoSwap and AutoConnect systems
The loader doesn’t require any large-scale appliances such as overhead cranes for swapping the battery at a mine site. This is thanks to the AutoSwap, Sandvik patented self-swapping system for the battery. Due to our AutoConnect functionality, the operator can stay in the cabin during the swapping process.
-
Zero underground exhaust emissions
The proven lithium-iron phosphate battery chemistry ensures zero underground exhaust emissions and minimal heat. It supports sustainability goals by reducing CO2 emissions and lowering ventilation needs.
-
Battery swap
Toro® LH518iB battery swaps can be done in just a few minutes. For charging the battery, it needs to be connected to a Sandvik charging station after swapping.
-
New generation battery
The new battery module for Sandvik loaders and trucks features a higher operating capacity as well as increased in environmental protection for tough underground mining operations.
-
Battery As A Service
Sandvik Battery As A Service (BAAS) helps you shift to battery power by retaining ownership of the battery packs, chargers, spare parts and any needed maintenance. Each program is tailored to the needs of your fleet, mine design and cycle duties.
Electrification
More productive, powerful and better for workers' health
"Every mine has a capital purchase or a maintenance replacement coming up in the next few years, and they would be missing out if they decided not to investigate or pursue battery-electric technology." Jeff LaMarsh, Mine Superintendent, New Afton
