Sandvik DD212 is a versatile single-boom electro-hydraulic jumbo for tunneling and mining development. It excels in narrow vein operations, allowing for better control of dilution, improved face and tunnel profiles, increased drill performance and lower total cost of ownership.
Features
-
Better dilution control
With the compact, versatile CFX feed system, the rig helps mines open smaller tunnel sections, reducing overbreak, dilution and hauling costs associated with removing ore.
-
Robust and compact
The compact design of Sandvik DD212 enables the rig to open up much smaller tunnel sections within a mine, allowing for increased levels of productivity with more meters advanced.
-
Versatile drill
The drill can be used for face drilling, bolting and crosscutting. It is equipped with the SB20i hydraulic boom with one meter boom extension, 360-degree rotation and full automatic parallelism - to ensure easy, fast feed positioning and accurate face drilling, leading to up to 15% gain in drilling time.

Instrumented boom
SB20i instrumented boom enhances performance with feed auto parallelism, resulting in up to a 3% improved pull-out ratio per round. With a one-meter boom extension, the boom provides extensive coverage, spanning tunnel cross sections from 6 m² to 25 m².
Best fit in narrow vein
The rig ensures operational efficiency, with precise electronic positioning and instrumentation for hole measurements. It excels in narrow vein drilling applications.
