RR240 rotary bit is the combination of the best parts of Sandvik’s previous three air-bearing bits and includes additional improvements and an optimized design. This upgraded version features high-quality components that extend bit life.

Combining the benefits of RR222, RR321 and RR221 with completely new features is key to the long life of this rotary bit. A longer bit life results in fewer bits to recycle, fewer bit changes, less manual handling and less risk of injury. It is safer, more cost-effective and more sustainable.

RR240 features PowerCarbide® for longer insert wear life in challenging rock conditions, an upgraded cutting structure, hard-faced heel row, CSD* modeling with improved bottom hole coverage and bit life and CSI** carbide for improved bit life and insert toughness.
